I’m not a geneticist but one thing I do know is that there’s a strand of the American DNA devoted to the love of the muscle car. A loud and proud tradition of crisp styling and powerful motors has it’s traces back to the prohibition era and it was this criteria which lead Josh to his 2017 Coyote S550

Introduced in 1964 at the New York Worlds fair the Ford Mustang was the birth of the pony car era and to this day stands among the greats.

Over the decades Ford has pushed the envelope of the automotive industry by innovating and refining along the way. Ford has managed to evolve the Mustang while still maintaining its core principals. Big engines, manual gearboxes and rear wheel drive

In the 53 years that Ford was developing the Mustang up until Josh’s chassis rolled off the line they learned how to make a pretty great car but he saw areas where it could be made his own.

RGB lighting was added in place of the factory lighting system in order to give a more dynamic display. The system includes custom LED headlights, markers and underglow ensuring that even inn the dark this gem will still shine

Just like how every good outfit is complimented by a nice pair of shoes the CMST Forged CT295s were chosen to provide some visual interest without overpowering the clean and elegant aesthetic that surrounds them. The 20 inch wheels in concert with Airlift 3p suspension and Steeda camber arms work together to perfectly fill the arch of the CMST Tuning widebody kit.

In the interior the factory seats were exchanged for Corbeau RRB seats & harnesses and the steering wheel was upgraded to include LED shift lights & digital display. Carbon and paint matched dash trim were also added to bring an additional layer of polish to the cockpit experience.

Aero from Anderson Composites can be spotted around the car enhancing the aggressive design of the Mustang reminding us that while it is a beauty you should never overlook the beast.

With the ambition to eventually supercharge the already mighty 5 liter V8 the journey for this wild horse is still to be continued. To follow along with future developments Josh’s Mustang can be found on Instagram at @rival.s550
