Well, Z fans, it’s time to rejoice. Earlier today, Nissan revealed the 2024 Z Heritage Edition, a nostalgic nod to the S30-generation Datsun 240Z that first hit the roads 55 years ago in 1969.
Sporting a vibrant “Sight Orange” hue inspired by the original S30, the new 400Z is a stunning blend of retro charm and modern performance, ready to bask in weekend sunlight. The exterior is undeniably attractive, featuring a refreshed front fascia with more rectangular grille openings, reminiscent of its classic predecessor. Fender flares, another homage to the iconic 240Z, enhance its sporty aesthetic while keeping a modern look, while black accents on the hood decal, bodyside decals, and heritage and Z emblems provide a striking contrast against its sleek curves.
Under the hood, the Heritage Edition offers a choice between a 6-speed manual or a 9-speed automatic transmission. It houses a robust twin-turbo 3.0L V6 engine, delivering an impressive 400 horsepower to its retro-styled 19-inch wheels. Stopping power is assured by Nissan Performance brakes, complete with painted red calipers.
Nissan has priced the 2024 Z Heritage Edition at an MSRP of $59,135. However, given the current market dynamics, it’s likely these cars will command a premium. Expect these highly anticipated models to start hitting showroom floors this summer.
Stay tuned, as the 2024 Z Heritage Edition promises to be yet another thrilling chapter in the storied history of Nissan’s iconic sports car lineage.
