Inside Hawaiian Brian's 2002 Honda S2000

There’s nothing quite like the connection between a car enthusiast and their prized possession. In this case, our feature car is none other than my 2002 Honda S2000 – a true embodiment of power and precision on the road. Today, we’re taking a closer look at this magnificent racing marvel, so buckle up and let’s dive into the exhilarating world of this modified beauty.

The story of this 2002 Honda S2000 begins with its claim to fame in Modified Magazine back in 2008. Built with a singular purpose in mind – racing – this car has graced some of the most renowned tracks across the country. From the winding asphalt of Atlanta Motorsports Park to the iconic curves of Road Atlanta, New Jersey Motorsports Park, Virginia International Raceway, and Summit Point, this S2000 she has conquered them all, savoring every moment of the journey.

It’s no secret that the heart of any race car lies beneath the hood, and this S2000 is no exception. Underneath that sleek exterior, you’ll find an Inline Pro GT35r Turbo Kit, complete with all the high-tech gizmos to boost performance to its peak. With such power, an upgraded head gasket was a necessity, ensuring that this inline-4 engine can handle the intense pressure. The exhaust system is custom-made to minimize any restriction, and the catalytic converter has been given the boot. The result? A breathtaking 523whp and 318wtq at 18psi, unleashing raw power on the track.

Spending hours in the driver’s seat means the interior has to be more than just comfortable – it needs to be an experience. Custom-built Bride door inserts and a meticulously crafted center console perfectly complement the Bride Low Max Racing Seats. But what really sets this interior apart is the custom-built Luke Skywalker Shifter – a nod to my own inner nerd. Safety meets style with the addition of a Cusco 6pt roll cage, a must-have for any road course enthusiast. It not only enhances safety but adds a bold and aggressive look to the interior.

I’m a nerd so a Luke Skywalker shift knob was only fitting to add.

The S2000’s exterior is no less impressive. The iconic Volk CE28 wheels not only exude sex appeal but also offer unmatched functionality. Behind those stunning wheels lies the Stop Tech Big Brake Kit, coupled with full steel brake lines, ensuring the stopping power matches the acceleration. To handle the car’s sideways antics, I opted for the top-tier BF Goodrich G-Force performance tires.

To maintain an OEM+ appearance while adding an aggressive edge, the car sports the prestigious ASM kit. With a Carbon Fiber Hood, Front and Rear fenders, and Ings side skirts, this S2000 achieves the perfect balance between form and function. The BASF Lime Green paint job ensures this car stands out from the crowd, making it a true reflection of my unique personality.

In the end, this 2002 Honda S2000 isn’t just a car; it’s an extension of its my own passion, personality, and racing spirit.
