This week, the JDM world is going to go crazy as a true gem hit BringATrailer.com (BaT), a 2000 Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec N1! What makes this find particularly special? Well, according to gtr-registry.com, there are only 38 of these beauties in existence, and the one up for grabs is number 34.

But what sets the N1 apart from its counterparts? These cars were born to race, engineered with performance at the forefront of their design. All 38 of them are finished in white (QM1) non-super-fine hardcoat paint, these machines were stripped down to shed every ounce of unnecessary weight. Features like the rear foglight, rear window wiper, UV-cut insulated glass, and boot lid trim were all sacrificed in the name of speed. The V-Spec N1 featured upgrades such as improved engine internals, including pistons, connecting rods, and crankshaft, designed to handle higher power output and withstand more rigorous driving conditions.

This specific N1 has undergone some serious enhancements. The electronically-actuated Super HICAS rear-wheel-steering system has been replaced with a lockout bar, and upgrades include Nismo front and rear control arms, S-Tune dampers, and an R35 big-brake kit with gold-painted Brembo calipers.

This particular vehicle has been treated to an impressive list of modifications, including twin Garrett 2530 turbochargers, HKS front-mounted intercooler, ATI Racing crankshaft damper, and Haltech Engine Management, just to name a few.

The odometer reads a mere 158k kilometers (~98k miles), with only 5k added by the current owner. While the total mileage remains a mystery, one thing is certain, this N1 is a rare find for any enthusiast.

So, what’s the price tag for this piece of automotive history? Well, that’s yet to be determined as bidding on BaT continues but as of right now it’s at $200,000. But for collectors and enthusiasts alike, the opportunity to own such a rare crafted machine is priceless. Who will be the lucky one to claim this piece of automotive history? Only time will tell. But for now, the excitement continues to build as enthusiasts from around the world keep a close eye on this extraordinary find.
